Donations to TLC will help purchase books, developmentally appropriate toys and materials for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school age children, and children with special needs. Funds may also be used to continue and expand SNCS playgroups.
When you donate to The Children’s Community Chest 100% of your donation goes directly to the families. This program offers discretionary funds to families with an urgent need when there are no other community resources in Nevada and Sierra Counties available. Awarded funds can range from $50.00 to $300.00 and we strive for same day turnaround, if possible.
A need may relate to health, transportation, enrichment, or items that directly benefit the physical or emotional needs of the child. In addition, the Fund may support a child’s participation in an activity such as sports or dance that builds character and self-esteem.
“I want to thank you and SNCS for the funding to have our car repaired! The auto repair shop did an amazing job and we are safely back on the road. SNCS has been a great support and I feel so blessed to have you working with our family as I care for my 3 grandsons.”
Always Grateful!
