Children’s Community Chest

When families encounter financial hardships, children suffer the most. The Children’s Community Chest Program is a discretionary fund to meet the needs of children in Nevada and Sierra Counties for which no other community support is available or who find themselves in a situation that requires a timely response.

A variety of hardships are funded, such as: emergency rental assistance, transportation needs, utility payment to avoid shut-off, car repairs, medical related costs, counseling services and summer camps.

This is truly a funding of last resort. Requests for Children’s Community Chest must be submitted by local public and nonprofit agencies and may be emailed to lvose@sncs.org. Click here for the Application and Guidelines.

Children's Community Chest is funded primarily through donations. Because of people like you, the Children's Community Chest works. 100% of your donation will go directly to benefit a child in need.
